I bumped head on into a door’s side (the part with the little tng that locks the door, the part that touchs the door frame and opens up). And I barely tapped it, but because I am so tired and strung on caffeine I fell over and hit the ground. Ad everyone was like “are you alright” and all I could do was laugh and walk away while they stared at me with concern.
"Ancient moon priestesses were called virgins. ‘Virgin’ meant not married, not belonging to a man - a woman who was ‘one-in-herself’. The very word derives from a Latin root meaning strength, force, skill; and was later applied to men: virile. Ishtar, Diana, Astarte, Isis were all all called virgin, which did not refer to sexual chastity, but sexual independence. And all great culture heroes of the past, mythic or historic, were said to be born of virgin mothers: Marduk, Gilgamesh, Buddha, Osiris, Dionysus, Genghis Khan, Jesus - they were all affirmed as sons of the Great Mother, of the Original One, their worldly power deriving from her. When the Hebrews used the word, and in the original Aramaic, it meant ‘maiden’ or ‘young woman’, with no connotations to sexual chastity. But later Christian translators could not conceive of the ‘Virgin Mary’ as a woman of independent sexuality, needless to say; they distorted the meaning into sexually pure, chaste, never touched."
i think it’s dumb that people who live at home after 18 are looked down upon. not everyone who lives with their parents is lazy. some people need to be at home to take care of their siblings or parents. maybe their families need help with their income….
Honestly, I have grown living with generations of family under the same roof due to income problems, illness, or fights amongst other members… so it makes zero sense to me that people look down on that. That’s family. That’s your family, even if you move off and make your own tribe of familial faces.. What is so wrong with living with family? But personally, I needed to get out! So I am now dorming despite the fact it cost too f-ing much. But my time and education is worth it, because I know stuff wouldn’t get done if I lived at home (where you are expected to take part in thgs). When you live with people for that long who’ve lived under same roof with many of their own kind for a longer time they tend to get very clingy, epspecially since everyone who doesn’t live in our home is an hour or less away. They get very clingy. . And although I am clingy in my own right, they take it up a notch.
That reminds me I am going to be graduating and I still don’t have a quote or anything. I think I might just put the notes to a favorite song or something. It can be like a code. Hahaha!
